APPLICANT CHECKLIST

To assist you to submit all required documentation with your application, please refer to the checklist.  

Make sure ALL documents are Certified Copies

1. Make sure to pay the appropriate fee

2. Proof of Identity - You must provide certified copies of documentary evidence to prove your identity sufficent to satisfy the ‘100 Point Check’ (201) as required pursuant to the Financial Transaction Reports Act 1988. This must include one primary document such as a Birth Certificate or International Travel Document (e.g.Current Passport) or Citizenship Certificate and must include one secondary document such as a Driver’s Licence, employee identification card, centrelink card or student identification card. 3. Evidence of change of name - please provide a certified copy of all names and name changes e.g. a marriage certificate, decree nisi, deed poll, if applicable.

4. PROOF OF QUALIFICATIONS  
Documentation for this purpose means official confirmation of eligibility for the award/s from the university or college in the form of an academic record / academic transcript / parchment which includes all the subjects/courses studied with results/marks.

4.1 Overseas Qualifications
Proof of all non-teaching and teaching awards – academic record or transcript. The teaching award must include information and evidence of the length of professional experience/student-teaching practicum.

4.2 Australian Qualifications

(a) South Australian and interstate students currently completing the final year of a pre-service teacher education award at an Australian tertiary institution, submit-academic record/s or transcript/s showing all subjects studied with grades and any subjects still to be completed.

(b) Post-Graduates - academic record/s or transcript/s confirming eligibility for a pre-service teaching award completed in an Australian tertiary institution, and documentation of non-teaching award/s.

5. Reference from most recent Principal/Director (Employer), stating quality of teaching service and confirming period of employment.

6. Citizenship Status  If not born in Australia - proof of Australian citizenship/temporary residency/permanent residency/work visa. This is in your passport.

7.  Proof of registration as a teacher in any Australian State or Territory and/or New Zealand. Supply a certified copy of your Certificate of Teacher Registration

8.  Official English translations by an accredited translator, of all documents not in the English language, in addition to lodging the documents in the original language. 

9.  Evidence of proficiency in English

10. Complete a Consent for Criminal Record Check Consent form as part of your application form.
