Welcome to the Teachers Registration Board
The Teachers Registration Board is established under the Teachers Registration and Standards Act 2004 (the Act) and the Teachers Registration and Standards Regulations 2005 (the Regulations) to regulate the teaching profession.
The object of the Act is to, in the public interest, establish and maintain a teacher registration system and professional standards to ensure members are competent and fit and proper persons to have the care of children.

Longitudinal Teacher Education Workforce Study
The Teachers Registration Board of South Australia is providing an opportunity for teachers who graduated in 2011 to participate in the 18 month Longitudinal Teacher Education Workforce Study (LTEWS), conducted by Deakin University on behalf of the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

Change of Registration Status Requirements
Provisional registration is granted when teachers first gain registration and indicates that they do not have the prescribed teaching experience (200 full time equivalent days) to be granted (full) registration. Provisional registration is granted on the condition that all teachers acquire the teaching experience necessary to progress to (full) registration.
