Verified Documents for Renewal of Registration

Documents required for the renewal of registration must be verified by a person that has known the teacher for a period of at least 12 months and listed in the Acceptable Referee categories (based on AUSTRAC Information Circular No. 4),

The Acceptable Referee must sight the original documents and endorse each page of the document with the statement:

      "This is a true and correct copy of the original document."

then print their name, occupation, sign and date the endorsement.

If all documents have not been correctly verified, your application cannot be processed and it will be returned to you.

An example of an appropriate referee category includes:

26.    An individual employed as a full-time teacher or as a principal at one or more of the following educational institutions:
      a)  a primary or secondary school forming part of the education system in State or Territory; or
      b)  an institution listed in section 4 paragraphs 34(4)(b)-(j) (inclusive) of the Higher Education Funding Act 1988;
      who has been so employed continuously for a period of at least 5 years.
