Theme: Emerging Technologies and the law - what does it mean for educators?
3D printing, Bit Coins, Google Glass, Snapchat - the development of new technologies continues to change the way the world operates.
As technology evolves the once fanciful is now becoming the new norm in our everyday lives. Although exciting, these changes also raise a number of legal issues for organizations and individuals.
This seminar will look at the impact of developing and new technologies and the challenges/problems which may arise.
Presenter: Luke Dale, Partner, HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, Adelaide
Luke practises in the areas of corporate and commercial law, with a focus on intellectual property law and brand protection, technology law, media and entertainment law and trade practices issues including franchising, competition and consumer protection. He has specific expertise in negotiating and drafting a range of commercial documents, including licensing agreements, distribution agreements and technology transfer documentation. Luke was also a member of the Panel Discussion on current Cyber Issues at the 2014 ANZELA National Conference in Adelaide.
