Children's Education and Care Sector 10 year plan
Feedback from a month-long consultation process will inform further discussions on actions and initiatives to improve supply, retention and quality of the children's education and care sector workforce.
Stakeholders and government representatives will now meet before a final strategy is presented for consideration by the Education Minister later this year.
The strategy will aim to create a co-ordinated, collaborative and long-term approach to tackling challenges in the sector.
The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) conducted the consultation during May on potential actions and initiatives, outlined in the Consultation on a Ten Year National Children’s Education and Care Workforce Strategy (2021–30) document.
ACECQA is an independent national authority that works with the Federal, State and Territory governments to enact change that beneifits children aged from birth to 13 years and their families as well as supporting the children's education and care sector.
