Australia Day facts

Did you know that 26 January has only been called Australia Day by all states and territories since 1935, and that it wasn’t a nationwide public holiday until 1994? Primary and middle-years teachers can find plenty more facts about Australia as well as lesson and activity sheets linked to the curriculum on For Teachers for Students. Or you could take a look at the Australia Day website for more education resources.
