Professional learning requirement
Under the Teachers Registration and Standards Act 2004, all renewal applications are required to be lodged by 31 December in the third year of registration.
This means that any professional learning done in the January period just after lodgement and prior to the start of a new term of registration (February) cannot be counted towards the 60 hours of professional learning for the new term of registration.
This issue will affect all teachers in one January period of their three year registration cycle. If you have any concerns or questions please contact us.

Professional learning opportunities
The Ronald McDonald Learning Program supports schools by providing a free, one-hour professional development session, EDMed, which help participants gain a better understanding of the effects of chronic illness and treatments on student learning and wellbeing. Click here for more information.
