Unley High Links Program reaches 20th anniversary
 
 
This month marks 20 years since the Link Program commenced at Unley High School. The school, together with Mitcham Primary School and Roma Mitchell Secondary College, is partnered with the Adelaide West Special Education Centre to deliver the unique program that enables students with physical disabilities or physical degenerative disorders, to attend mainstream schools and participate fully in classroom programs and extra curricula activities.
  
Highly skilled staff provide varying levels of support to students as well as disability awareness information to the wider school community. The program has allowed many students access to quality inclusive education as well as nurturing independence, self-esteem, respect, friendship and success.
A celebration to mark Unley’s milestone will be held later this month with old scholars, former teachers and Kelly Vincent from the Dignity for Disability Party in attendance.

Professional learning opportunities
Teacher Technologies & Reflect Growth present PD & Pizza – more than just Cyber Safety, two after school sessions focussing on elements of the ICT general capability. Part 1, Monday 6 June, 4.30pm-7pm and Part 2, Monday 20 June, 4.30pm-7pm at The Shed, Seaton.
  
 
EdTechSA presents Unpacking the Digi Tech Curriculum, focussing on the curriculum’s key features, intentions and constructs. Friday 3 June, 5.00pm – 7.00pm.
The Chinese Language Teachers Association of SA presents Exploring options or Strengthening Primary Chinese Language Programs on Friday 3 June, 12.30pm – 3.30pm at the EDC, Hindmarsh. Find out more here.
