Provisional registration certificates and public register changes

Provisional Registration certificates issued after 1 October 2016 will include the condition that provisionally registered teachers are required to move to (full) registration within a maximum two terms of consecutive registration (6 years).

While the condition is not a new requirement, having it printed on the certificate is a reminder for teachers of their obligation to move to (full) registration as soon as possible within the maximum two terms of registration. All provisionally registered teachers will receive an information sheet when initially registering or renewing their registration. For further information regarding the transition to (full) registration visit our website.
From the 1 January 2017 the Public Register of Teachers will also reflect whether a registered teacher holds provisional registration or (full) registration.
