Renewal statistics
The registration team has been busy with over 9,216 teachers renewing their registration and 897 new teachers joining the Register. During the renewal period 585 teachers also transitioned from provisional to full registration – congratulations! All renewals are now done online through our Teachers Portal and it’s been fantastic to see how easily our teachers adapted to this streamlined process.

Professional learning sponsorship opportunity
Expressions of Interest are invited from registered teachers who would like to attend the Humanities and Social Sciences SA 2017 conference. The conference is being held at UniSA Magill on 25 & 26 February. The TRB has ten sponsorships available. Applications close Friday 10 February. Find out more here.
NAPLAN marking positions for 2017
If you have strong English and literacy skills and have taught the English curriculum you can apply to be a NAPLAN marker. Online applications close Friday 10 February. For further information contact the NAPLAN Marking Centre on 8226 3269 or

The Mindful Classroom is a program to learn about mindfulness and how it can be used to create calm and space to be fully present as an educator.

‘A personal Journey into the World of the brain’ is a presentation by Barbara Arrowsmith-Young, the director of the Arrowsmith Program and Arrowsmith School. Barbara will talk about her journey of discovery, the lines of research she combined and the outcomes achieved over her 35 years as an educator and researcher. Principles of neuroplasticity and the factors leading to both positive and negative brain change will be discussed.
