Australian Programs

The Teachers Registration Board of South Australia accredits initial teacher education programs at the under-graduate and post-graduate level offered by Higher Education Institutions based in South Australia. Once the program is accredited it fulfils the teacher education qualification requirement for registration (accreditation in NSW) as a teacher Australia wide.

Each other State or Territory in Australia accredits the initial teacher education programs offered by Higher Education Institutions in their State or Territory.

If you enrol in an accredited initial teacher education program while the accreditation is ‘current’ ie. before the accreditation expiry date, then you will meet the qualification requirements for registration as a teacher even if you complete the program after its accreditation expires.

This is a comprehensive list of all currently accredited initial teacher education programs offered Australia wide. You can search for a program via State, Institution, type, stage or status.
