Teacher registration ensures a minimum quality standard is applied to all teachers entering or currently teaching in South Australia. Registration verifies you as a qualified teaching professional. For employment purposes, all graduates, overseas trained and currently working teachers are required by law to be registered by the Teachers Registration Board.

To update your details (change of name, change of address etc.), please use the Teachers Portal

Note:

Please state your registration number, full name and date of birth when contacting the Board.
Updating your details via fax and telephone will not be accepted.
Please post a certified copy of your marriage certificate, decree nisi or deed poll to the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia, PO Box 3649, Rundle Mall SA 5000 to finalise your change of name.
To use the Teachers Portal, please register for an account. Once you have created your account, you will be able to log in to the portal at: https://online.trb.sa.edu.au/default.aspx
Pursuant to Section 28 (4) of the Teachers Registration and Standards Act 2004 a registered teacher must notify the Registrar within 28 days of any change of name or address. Maximum penalty $1250, Expiation fee $160.
