Intending applicants who have resided for more than 12 continuous months in the United Kingdom during the past ten years are required to provide an International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) available from the ACPO Criminal Records Office. Current application forms and guidance notes can be downloaded from the ACRO website.

Please follow the guidance notes to assist in correct completion and lodgement of the application form.

When completing the “Organisation Requesting the Certificate” section of the application form applicants should provide the contact details of the Board as follows:

Applicants are also required to provide a letter from the Board confirming their intention to apply for Teacher Registration in South Australia.

Intending applicants can make a request by email to the Board for a confirmation letter using the online request form.

To avoid unnecessary personal costs and inconvenience please ensure you meet all requirements for teacher registration before making application for an ICPC.

The Board will only accept the “International Child Protection Certificate” (ICPC) issued by ACPO for previous residents of the United Kingdom. The ICPC must have been issued within 12 months prior to the date of lodgement of your application for Teacher Registration with the Board.

Please ensure the ICPC reflects all names you have previously been known by. There is provision to include these under “Personal Information” on the front page of the ICPC application form.

All costs associated with obtaining the ICPC are the sole responsibility of the applicant.
