If you hold current registration in another state or territory in Australia or in New Zealand, you can apply under Mutual Recognition using an Application for Teacher Registration under Mutual Recognition . You will need to provide copies of your current teacher registration (known as accreditation in NSW) with your application.

Under the mutual recognition agreement, your qualifications are not assessed. If you wish to have them added to your records held by the Teachers Registration Board in South Australia, you must provide an original or certified copy of your official academic transcript stating the completion/conferral date of the award or share them via My eQuals to qualifications@trb.sa.edu.au

Under mutual recognition, you are not required to provide evidence that you have completed the mandatory notification training prior to finalisation of your registration. However, you may be required to complete this training prior to teaching children and young people. This is an employment requirement required by the employer.

A South Australian Working With Children Check (WWCC) is now a mandatory requirement for anyone in South Australia who works with children.

You will also need to provide payment of the appropriate fees .
