Expression of Interest – Teachers Registration Board of South Australia

The Minister for Education Training and Skills is seeking expressions of interest for appointment as a Board member of the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia, for a term of up to three years, commencing from mid 2024.

The Teachers Registration Board will consist of not less than 10, and not more than 14 members, appointed by Her Excellency the Governor.

We are seeking individuals who embody the diverse fabric of our community, who collectively will have knowledge, qualifications, skills and experience in areas of teacher education and matters affecting employers of practising teachers.

Teachers, pre-service teachers, including those with experience in corporate and public sector governance and education service delivery may be interested in applying.

People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, connections with children and young people, people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, LGBTIQ+ South Australians and/or people with a disability are strongly encouraged to apply.

Additionally, one member must be a parent of a school aged student, representing the community's interests.

All persons appointed will be subject to a Working with Children Check and it is recommended details of a current check be supplied at this time.
